Session Telecoms SIP Trunking

This guide connects a Session Telecoms SIP trunk to Live Hub. Complete the following steps:

  1. Order SIP trunking from Session Telecoms.
  2. Create a SIP connection in Live Hub.
  3. Update Session Telecoms SIP Trunking with your SIP connection FQDN.

Order SIP trunking from Session Telecoms

Contact Session Telecoms and order the SIP trunking solution. Once your SIP trunking account is provisioned, Session Telecoms provides you with the following details:

You need this information to set up the SIP connection in Live Hub, as described in the following section.

Create a SIP connection in Live Hub

To create the SIP connection that represents your Session Telecoms SIP trunking account:

  1. Log in to Live Hub.

  2. In the Navigation pane, select SIP connections, and then click Add new SIP connection.

  3. Select the General tab, and then under the General group:

    1. In the 'Name' field, enter a unique SIP connection name (for example, Session Telecoms).
    2. From the 'Provider type' drop-down list, select SIP Trunk.
    3. From the 'Provider' drop-down list, select Session Telecoms SIP Trunk.
  4. Under the Registration and authentication group:

    1. From the 'Registration' drop-down list, select Enabled.
    2. In the 'Contact name' field, enter the {sipUsername} that Session Telecoms provided.
    3. Under Credentials, enter the {sipUsername} and {sipPassword} that Session Telecoms provided.
  5. Select the Incoming tab, and then under the Authentication group:

    1. Select the 'FQDN (Request-URI)' check box, and then copy the 'SIP connection FQDN' value that appears. You send this value to Session Telecoms.
    2. Select the 'Source IP address' check box.
  6. Click Create.

Update Session Telecoms SIP Trunking with your SIP connection FQDN

After creating the SIP connection in Live Hub, send the 'SIP connection FQDN' value allocated to your SIP connection to Session Telecoms, and then ask them to update your account.
